Horry County Business Sues SCDOT

An Horry county business filed a lawsuit on December 16th against the South Carolina Department of Transportation over the closure of highway 501 during Hurricane Florence. The owner of Chancel Hospitality Residential and Tourism in Conway claims that they had to move their business to another location on a one day notice to prevent flooding. The owner is seeking repayment of expenses incurred due to the relocation between September 18th and October 5th which cost over $30,000.
