ATF Looking for Grenade Sold in Ocean Isle Beach
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is on the lookout for a live grenade that was sold at the Fancy Flea Antique Mall in Ocean Isle Beach in June.
The ATF is asking for the public’s help in finding out who bought the grenade from the location on Ocean Highway West in Shallotte. The MK2 grenade was a style that was used during WWII and it’s believed that at the time of the sale neither the vendor nor the buyer knew it was functioning or hazardous.
