Active-Duty Special Forces Soldier Charged After 3 Killed
Police in Rockford, Illinois have released the mugshot of the man accused of shooting and killing three people at a bowling alley.
Authorities in Winnebago County say 37-year-old Duke Webb is in custody and charged with murder. Webb is an active military member and a Florida resident. At Don Carter Lanes around 6:55 p.m., three people were hurt including two teenagers and a 62-year-old male, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is currently in critical condition. Investigators believe the shooting was a random attack. The U.S. Army confirmed that Webb is a sergeant first class currently assigned as an assistant operations and intelligence sergeant in a special forces group. Special forces units are often deployed to intercept terrorist activity abroad. Webb was on leave when the shooting occurred, according to the army who is continuing to assist the Rockford Police Department in the ongoing investigation.
