Calls Made for Gov. McMaster to Implement Statewide Mask Mandate

State lawmakers are calling for Gov. McMaster to take more action amid this recent surge of Covid-19. South Carolina has registered over 2,000 new Covid-19 cases for four consecutive days. In total, over 218,800 residents have become infected and more than 4,200 have died. U.S. Representative Joe Cunningham tweeted at the Governor yesterday asking him to institute a statewide mask mandate. The order would be temporary, ideally lasting through the end of the year. Cunningham said “it’s the least we can do to keep our people safe.”
