Former Florence County Sheriff Pleads Guilty to Domestic Violence
The former Florence County Sheriff has plead guilty to domestic violence in the third degree. Back in February, deputies were called to the home of Kenney Boone after reports he was intoxicated and fighting with his wife over various financial issues. He also threw things and used a bat to hit their furniture, floor, a potted plant and even their cat. The cat is alright and the additional charge for ill-treatment of animals has since been dismissed due to lack of evidence. Boone was sentenced to 30 days in jail or a $1,000 fine, suspended upon the successful completion of 26 weeks of domestic abuse counseling.
