Attorney General Barr Finds No Widespread Voter Fraud in 2020 Election
The DOJ is also making headlines today after saying there’s been no evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Attorney General William Barr made the announcement during an interview yesterday saying “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.” He added that the Department of Homeland Security has also come to the same conclusion. Barr, who is a Trump appointed official, had previously supported the president’s claims that mail-in voting was susceptible to such criminal activity for months prior to the election. Following this news, Georgia election official Gabriel Sterling made a strong plea to the president. Amid Georgia’s second recount at the Trump Administration’s request, Sterling said there’s been several incidents of intimidation and death threats directed towards election workers and their families. Sterling added he’s extremely worried someone may get hurt or killed. He admitted President Trump has the right to contest the results, however he strongly urged the president to also condemn these volatile actions and language.
