Biden Suffers Small Hairline Fractures to Foot While Playing with Dog

Over the weekend, President-elect Joe Biden hurt his foot. Officials initially believed the 78-year-old twisted his ankle after he slipped while playing with his dog Major on Saturday. Out of an abundance of caution, he was taken to the Delaware Orthopedic Specialists in Newark to be examined yesterday afternoon. Biden’s personal physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor confirmed Biden had sprained his foot. While the X-rays did not appear to show “obvious” bone fractures, a CT scan revealed the president-elect sustained small hairline fractures to the middle of his right foot. Biden will likely have to wear a walking boot for several weeks, according to O’Connor. In response to a video of Biden leaving the orthopedic office yesterday, President Trump tweeted, “Get well soon!” Biden is set to become the oldest president in U.S. history after he is sworn in on January 20th.
