Darlington’s Annual Turkey Giveaway Feeds Hundreds for Thanksgiving

Darlington’s annual turkey giveaway provided hundreds of people with Thanksgiving meals yesterday. Sixteen years after the giveaway began, people lined up as early as midnight for their meal. Mayor Curtis Boyd helped distribute hot chocolate and had heaters set up outside to help combat the cold while they waited. This year’s event had over 40 sponsors, including former MLB player Orlando Hudson. They were able to distribute all the meals in about an hour.
