Biden Names More Transition Team Members Despite Pushback From Trump Administration

Despite President Trump’s push back, President-elect Biden continues to name his transition team. Biden recently announced Ron Klain as his Incoming Chief of Staff and as the weeks go on, more transition team members have been named. Biden promised his administration would be diverse and it appears he’s delivered. It’s reported his team is made up of a majority of women, 52% to be exact, with people of color accounting for more than 40% of the total transition workforce. Five of thirteen members from Biden’s Covid task force are also women with the majority of the board consisting of people of color.
While this is historic news, Biden’s transition team still doesn’t have access to government funds and classified information needed to make the process of administration change smoother. This includes receiving critical information about the coronavirus. The concern is if President Trump’s resistance continues, it may impede or even delay the Biden team’s ability to distribute a coronavirus vaccine.
