Charleston Airport Reopens After Bomb Squad Inspects Suspicious Package

The Charleston international airport was evacuated yesterday after a suspicious package was found. Traffic to the airport was also blocked and all flights suspended or diverted yesterday morning after the TSA made the discovery during a checked baggage screening. A bomb squad was dispatched and has since removed the package without incident. The contents of the package were determined not to be explosive and the airport reopened around 1:30 pm yesterday. Authorities have not commented on the incident while they continue to investigate.
