Strong Mixed Reactions Seen Worldwide at News of Biden’s Win

Across the world, people reacted to the news of Joe Biden being named the next President-elect. President Trump learned of his alleged defeat while on a golf course and, upon return to the White House, was met by large crowds gathered in the streets who were cheering for his loss. The celebrations continued well into the night and similar scenes were witnessed across the nation in major cities. Church bells were also rung in France and fireworks set off in England. Multiple world leaders also offered congratulations to Biden and expressed an eagerness to working with him. But not everybody is happy and will not accept the results either. While President-elect Biden may have become the candidate to receive the most amount of votes in history, President Trump has the second highest amount, and many of his supporters are still rooting for him. They also took to the streets to counter-protest and many say they will not accept the results until every legal vote is counted.
