Violence, Unrest Breaks Out in New York City Again Last Night

Unrest continued across the country last night as the outcome of the election still remains uncertain. It appears the majority of violence came from New York City. A man has been accused of shoving a police officer to the ground and then attempting to strangle him with a metal chain. The alleged attack occurred near Bond Street and Broadway in Greenwich Village during the second consecutive night of demonstrations. It’s reported a total 18 arrests were performed last night. This is compared to the previous night where at least 57 people were charged with various crimes. This includes resisting arrest, obstruction of government administration and harassment. At least three people were also arrested for assault after attacking NYPD officers by either spitting on them or punching them. There was a fourth person charged with criminal mischief after smashing out the windows of a commercial building. Authorities also released a list of some of the items confiscated from protesters. Among them were M80 fireworks, knives, a hammer, flammable liquid and a stun gun.
