Pharmacy Technician Accused of Stealing Medications From Work

A Socastee pharmacy technician has been accused of stealing medications at her place of employment. 28-year-old Courtney Bessant was an employee at the Health and Wellness Pharmacy on Dick Pond Road. It’s believed she took 16 hydrocodone tablets from a patient’s medication bottle. Authorities were able to confirm this through witness statements, pharmacy documents, and video evidence. Bessant was arrested and charged with theft of controlled substances. Her bail has not been set.
