Republicans Maintain Majority in North Carolina State, Local Elections

Speaking of North Carolina, we have some of their election results from last night. Despite a massive and expensive push by Democrats, it appears Republicans will maintain control of its state’s legislative chambers. This includes Madison Cawthorn, who was newly elected to the state’s Congress. He has now become the youngest in modern history to do so, just beating out Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. As Republicans continue to hold majority, Democratic Governor Roy Cooper won his reelection.
