What You Need to Know for Voting in South Carolina Today

Once again, election day is here an we’ve got everything you need to know locally. Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m. tonight. Those who are in line before 7 will still be able to vote so stay in line! For those voting absentee, you must also get your ballot into your county’s Voter Registration Office by 7 o’clock. In either case, you will be asked for some form of
ID, so have it at the ready. Accepted options include your state driver’s license, passport, a voter registration card with a photo or a federal military ID. Already a record-breaking number of over a million residents have cast early ballots but still millions more are expected to vote today.
