FBI Investigates Possible Harassment of Biden Campaign Bus by Trump Supporters
The FBI is investigating potential harassment of a Biden campaign bus by President Trump supporters in Texas. The incident occurred Friday as the bus was traveling from San Antonio to Austin in their effort to encourage residents to cast their ballots in the state’s final day of early voting. According to a campaign official on board, nearly 100 vehicles swarmed the bus and attempted to intimidate them by yelling obscenities. Staffers were then forced to call 911 after the president’s supporters tried to slow down the bus and allegedly run them off the road. The bus received a police escort to their final destination. Fortunately no one was hurt and neither Joe Biden nor Senator Kamala Harris were on the bus. President Trump tweeted a video of the incident praising his supporters and criticizing the FBI’s investigation. The president claimed they were only “protecting the bus” and suggested the FBI focus on other threats rather than target his supporters. There have been unconfirmed reports President Trump is considering replacing the current FBI director after the election.
