Philadelphia Authorities Discover Van Full of Explosives, Other Suspicious Cargo

A shocking discovery was made in Philadelphia last night as protests continue following the death of Walter Wallace Jr. The 27-year-old was in the midst of a mental health episode and holding a knife when police fatally shot him. New reports revealed those officers were not equipped with tasers. What ensued was outrage from residents. Peaceful protests quickly turned violent with numerous reports of looting, fires being set, and more. One person even damaged a police vehicle with an ax. Clashes with officers resulted in dozens being injured and upwards of 90 arrests. This morning authorities revealed they also discovered a van last night that was filled with explosives and other suspicious cargo such as propane tanks, torches and possibly sticks of dynamite. It’s unclear how they found the vehicle, as well as who the owner is. As a bomb squad investigates, a curfew was instilled and the National Guard will be deployed tomorrow.
