Man Charged After Hiding Razor Blades in Grocery Store Pizzas

A former supermarket associate has been arrested after a customer discovered razor blades stuffed inside pizza dough. The customer had purchased a prepackaged Portland Pie Pizza at a Hannaford’s in Maine last week before making the shocking discovery prior to consuming the product. After reviewing surveillance footage, local officers determined 38-year-old Nicholas Mitchell was responsible for the food tampering of several packages of pizza and immediately issued a warrant and began a search for him. Then on Sunday, authorities announced the arrest of Mitchell by a department in New Hampshire. His motives have not been made public at this time but it’s reported that he was a former associate of a company that makes supplies for the grocery store and could have tampered with more products than initially believed. In response, Hannaford’s has issued a recall of all Portland Pie products.
