Horry County Schools Might Return to Online Learning Due to Rise in Covid-19 Cases

Horry County Schools may be reverting back to entirely virtual learning starting October 19th. The board said according to DHEC’s recent report, Horry County has entered back into a ‘high’ disease spread level and continues to see a rise in Covid-19 cases. This would force HCS to move back to an online instructional model as per the plans drafted this summer. However, they’re waiting to see what next Thursday’s DHEC report says before making a final decision.
