No One Hurt After Helicopter Crashes onto Beach in Waites Island

Less than a week after a small plane crashed in the Horry County area, a helicopter has also now gone down. This time the crash occurred on a beach in Waties Island sometime early yesterday evening, forcing Horry County Fire Rescue to dispatch crews by land and boat. Only one person was inside the aircraft at the time and came out of the incident uninjured. An investigation is pending following the removal of the helicopter from its crash site.
