One Officer Killed, Another Injured After Shooting in Myrtle Beach

A revered Myrtle Beach Police officer was killed and another injured during a shooting this weekend. MBPD were responding to a domestic disturbance call in the 400 block of 14th Avenue South Saturday evening when shots were fired. Officer Jacob Hancher was killed and a second officer sustained non-life threatening injuries. He has since been released from the hospital. Thankfully no one else was injured, especially given the fact that bullets were let loose in a residential area with lots of witnesses present. More information is pending, however we do know at this time that the unnamed suspect was also found dead at the scene.
