President Trump Opposed to Potential Changes in Future Debates
While the future of the presidential debates is now up in the air, President Trump said he would be opposed to any potential changes. Following the most unprofessional debate witnessed in U.S. history, the Commission on Presidential Debates said it was clear “additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion.” But President Trump and his campaign said they do not want this, hinting they may not to participate in future debates if any changes are made. However, following President Trump’s diagnosis, they may be cancelled all together. And speaking of debates, the next one scheduled to take place is Wednesday between Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris. Seeing as Pence has tested negative, it’s believed the event will still be hosted at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and will be moderated by Susan Page from USA Today. You can tune in right here on WFXB to watch starting at 9 p.m. This debate is also expected to last 90 minutes.
