President Trump, First Lady Melania Test Positive for Covid-19

Late last night, President Trump confirmed in a tweet that both he and the First Lady have tested positive for Covid-19. It’s believed Hope Hicks, one of his closest advisors, may have infected them after she tested positive earlier yesterday. Hicks was seen boarding Air Force One along with the President and Melania on Tuesday, both going to and coming from the presidential debate. The president is 74-years-old, clinically diagnosed as being obese, and a man. These three factors combined means he’s more likely likely to suffer serious illness or even die as a result of the virus. Not to mention, he may have other health issues we are simply not aware of at this time. The president and his wife have been immediately put into quarantine and will be closely monitored by health professionals. But, this is the most serious health threat a sitting president has faced in decades. If President Trump falls gravely ill, he may have to temporarily turn over power to Vice President Mike Pence. This has only happened nine times since the creation of the U.S. Both Pence and his wife tested negative this morning.
