Brad Parscale Resigns From Trump Campaign Position Following Suicide Attempt
Following his suicide attempt, Brad Parscale has resigned from his position on President Trump’s campaign. 44-year-old Parscale was initially demoted from campaign manager to senior advisor following the Tulsa, Oklahoma rally back in June. Then a few days ago, it was reported that Parscale was threatening to commit suicide in his Florida home. Officers responded to the scene where they found Parscale armed with multiple guns. He was tackled and detained by SWAT following a standoff and immediately hospitalized. Details surrounding the altercation have not been made entirely clear but it’s believed his wife reported his erratic behavior to police after fleeing the home and hearing a “loud bang” go off. Parscale released an official statement on his resignation, saying “I am stepping away from my company and any role in the campaign for the immediate future to focus on my family and get help dealing with the overwhelming stress.”
