Bill Passed Supporting Expansion of Broadband Internet Access Across South Carolina
A bill supporting the expansion of Broadband has been approved by the the South Carolina General Assembly. The new legislation provides financial incentives to smaller power companies and cooperatives in effort to help hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians receive better internet access. This is especially imperative with many schools participating in virtual or some form of hybrid learning. The bill was approved during the final day of the 2020 session which was postponed due to Covid-19.
