President Trump to Visit Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Casket Today in Final Public Viewing

Today marks the end of the public viewing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s casket.  An army of over 100 of her clerks stood guard over it on the Supreme Court steps yesterday. Fellow justices spoke of Ginsburg, highlighting her accomplishments both in and out of her judge’s robe. Former President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Vice President Mike Pence also paid respects with President Trump expected to make his appearance today. Ginsburg will be transported to the National Statuary Hall tomorrow before being laid to rest alongside her late husband at the Arlington National Cemetery next week. While the justice lied in repose, the U.S. Senate failed to come to an agreement honoring her memory. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer attempted to pass a unanimous resolution that included language preventing her seat from being filled before November’s election, which was rumored to be one of her dying wishes. Only one senator needed to reject the request and that was Ted Cruz.
