President Trump, Joe Biden to Face Off in First Presidential Debate Next Week
The first presidential debate in the 2020 election is scheduled for next week. President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will face off Tuesday starting at 9 p.m. The event will taken place at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and will be moderated by Fox News’ Chris Wallace. It’s expected to run about 90 minutes, broken up into 15-minutes segments. The topics for each of the six segments were also announced and include the coronavirus pandemic, the supreme court nomination, the economy, outrage over racial injustice across the country, election integrity, and the two candidate’s records. President Trump said he’s preparing for the debate “everyday” by “just doing what I am doing.” Biden said he’s most looking forward to “holding [Trump] accountable”. Tuesday’s event will be the first of three debates that will precede November’s election. The second is scheduled for October 15th in Miami with the third set for October 22nd in Nashville.
