Kobe Bryant’s Widow Sues LA County Sheriff, Department After Personal Photos Taken at Crash Site
Kobe Bryant’s widow Vanessa is now suing the LA County Sheriff’s Department following the death of her husband and daughter. They were two of the nine people killed in late January after their helicopter crashed. Vanessa has been quick to take legal action against those responsible and is now also suing the department for emotional distress as well as other punitive damages. The new lawsuit claims no less than 8 responding deputies took photos of the scene on their own cell phones for “personal gratification”. It’s even believed on one occasion, a deputy showed those photos to a woman he was trying to impress at a bar. The department’s sheriff is also named in the lawsuit for allegedly withholding information and trying to cover up the incident by instructing employees to delete the photos. To make matters worse for Vanessa, her mother recently did a TV interview slandering her daughter, claiming she was suddenly cut off financially for “unknown reasons” after the tragic incident.
