Costco Discontinues Sale of Palmetto Cheese After Owner’s Controversial Statements

A warning to all Palmetto Cheese lovers, Costco has pulled the brand from 120 of its stores. The whole sale giant made the decision after the owner Brian Henry, who also happens to be the mayor of Pawleys Island, called the Black Lives Matter movement a “terror organization” on his public Facebook account. He made the controversial statement following the deaths of two local residents in Georgetown County. The post has since been deleted, and he issued a formal apology, but the damage was done. In response, Costco discontinued the beloved cheese brand.
