Lindsay Graham to Support President Trump’s Supreme Court Nomination
Senator Lindsey Graham announced he’s “dead set” on confirming whoever President Trump nominates to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Seeing as Graham is also the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he possesses a lot of sway in the matter. However, Democrats are calling him a hypocrite after he said on record in both 2016 and 2018 that “if an opening comes in the last year of President Trump’s term and the primary process has started, we’ll wait until the next election” to select a justice. Graham is now arguing they need to appoint a justice as soon as possible given how 2020 has turned out. He also claimed in the last election, the House and Senate were controlled by different parties instead of one. This all comes as Graham’s position is being threatened by Democratic hopeful Jamie Harrison this November.
