Early Voting Comes as a Number of Voters Expected to Vote by Mail
Although November third is still a while off, the process of picking a president is underway. President Trump and former vice president Joe Biden are both on the campaign trail as some people will start casting their votes today. In 45 states, all voters can vote by mail for the November election, and nine of those states plan to mail ballots to all registered voters. Both candidates will be in Minnesota today. President Trump plans to hold a rally at an airport in the city of Bemidji tonight. Meanwhile, the former vice president will visit a union training center in Duluth. The Trump campaign has its eyes on flipping the state, which Hillary Clinton won in 2016 by just under 45,000 votes. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has asked both campaigns to follow the state’s public health guidelines, including guidance on wearing masks indoors, to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
