New Warning From Dr. Fauci as Fall/Winter Seasons Approach
While 28 U.S. states are seeing downward Covid-19 trends, about 36,000 new cases are still being reported each day. The daily average death toll also remains to be just under 1,000 people and Dr. Anthony Fauci is warning once again things will get worse. As the weather turns and Americans start enjoying indoor activities more, the virus is likely to flourish. Fauci said that “We need to hunker down and get through this fall and winter because it’s not going to be easy.” Once a vaccine becomes available, things will begin to turn around but Fauci does not expect this to happen for months, despite President Trump’s hopes of having one by fall. As of now, there are more than 6.3 million confirmed cases in the U.S. with almost 192,000 lives lost. CDC health officials also recently confirmed those testing positive were more likely to have visited a restaurant within the last two weeks of being diagnosed.
