Darlington Raceway and NASCAR Made a Special Donation of Teddy Bears

Darlington Raceway and NASCAR made a special donation of teddy bears to the children at tidelands health yesterday afternoon.
20 ‘Speedy Bears’ were donated to Tidelands as part of the NASCAR foundation’s fourth annual “Speedy Bear Brigade”. It was part of a nationwide effort to distribute 900 bears to children in 40 hospitals. Dr.Gerald Harmon, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Tidelands Health, said the program makes “A difference in the lives of these young patients” and that it brings them some level of comfort during hard times. Since the program began in 2017, they’ve delivered nearly 4,000 teddy bears to sick children at over 80 hospitals.
