Suspect in Fatal Portland Shooting Also Killed Last Night by Police
The suspect accused of killing a man in Portland last week was fatally shot last night. 48-year-old Michael Reinoehl is a self-identified ANTIFA supporter suspected of killing right-wing Patriot Prayer member 39-year-old Aaron “Jay” Danielson during a protest in Oregon. This was not Reinoehl’s first run-in with firearms during a protest. In the month of July he sustained a gunshot wound while trying to wrestle a gun from a stranger and was also cited for allegedly carrying a loaded gun to a protest. Reinoehl allegedly told a journalist he was responsible for Danielson’s death but acted in self-defense saying “I’m sure I would have been killed.” Police issued an arrest warrant for him yesterday. When a federal fugitive task force moved in on him in Seattle, Washington to try and peacefully arrest him, he was killed instead. Authorities released a statement claiming “The suspect produced a firearm, threatening the lives of law enforcement officers. Task force members responded to the threat.” No one else was injured during the incident.
