Liberty University Launches Full Investigation into Jerry Falwell Jr.

Liberty University announced it’s launching an investigation into evangelical leader Jerry Falwell Jr. The news, which was revealed yesterday, states the school will look into “all facets” of the tenure of Falwell who is described as their “disgraced former president”. Falwell resigned last week amid an alleged and bizarre sex scandal that included his wife and a young Miami pool boy. The school said they intend to hire a leading forensics firm to investigate every aspect of Falwell’s 13-year presidency. This includes looking into all “financial, real estate and legal matters.” The Virginia-based university released a statement saying they are “committed to learning the consequences that have flowed from a lack of spiritual stewardship by our former president.” They said in the past they extended “grace and understanding to Falwell” which may be due to the fact that his father founded the institution. However, the recent scandals have forced the school to act “swiftly and decisively” against him.
