Teen Formally Charged in Deadly Kenosha, WI Shooting

The teen accused of shooting three people in Kenosha, two of which were fatal, has been formally charged. During Tuesday’s protests over the shooting of Jacob Blake, 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse killed 26-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum and 26-year-old Anthony Huber. He also injured 26-year-old George Grosskreutz who is currently in recovery. Huber’s girlfriend said he was killed while attempting to protect those around him from the teen by grabbing his AR-15. Witnesses’ cell phone footage then captured Rittenhouse being chased by several people into a parking lot where more shots went off. Rittenhouse faces one count of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide, two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment and one count of possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18. If convicted, he could receive a mandatory life sentence. Rittenhouse’s attorney is claiming his client acted in self-defense.
