Illinois Teen Arrested in Connection to Deadly Kenosha Shooting

An Illinois teen has been arrested in connection to the deadly shooting in Kenosha earlier this week. 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was identified as the suspect who fatally shot a 26 and 36-year-old during the third night of violent protests over the shooting of Jacob Blake. He also stands accused of seriously wounding a third person. It’s reported there were numerous videos posted to social media showing Rittenhouse wielding a long gun and opening fire. He faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide and is currently in custody in Illinois, awaiting extradition to Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Justice has revealed the identity of the officer who shot Blake as 31-year-old Rusten Sheskey. He had been with the department for seven years. Officers were responding to a domestic dispute after a woman said her boyfriend was unlawfully on the premise. They attempted to arrest Blake, who was trying to break up a fight at a party. He was tased but it did not subdue him. Blake further admitted to having a knife under the floorboard of his vehicle when he was shot.
