Protests Near RNC in Charlotte Continue for Third Night in a Row
Protests in Charlotte continued last night for the third night in a row. It appears demonstrators are pushing back against the Republican National Convention which is scheduled to begin tonight. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers confirmed they moved barricades, construction cones and trash cans, as they attempted to impede traffic. It’s also believed officers were assaulted while intervening. So far, two people have been arrested. Officers have also been ordered to go around the streets and pick up any loose bricks to prevent building damage or injuries.
