Joe Biden, Kamala Harris Make Official Debut as Running Mates
Yesterday afternoon, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris made their official debut as running mates. Together, the two took to a stage in Delaware with virtually no crowd, except for reporters and staff, to deliver separate speeches on what they hoped to accomplish in office in regards to the pandemic and the recent protests. Harris also took the time to fire back at President Trump following comments he made about her being “mean” and “nasty”. Harris responded with, “America is crying out for leadership. Yet we have a president who cares more about himself than the people who elected him.” It’s reported in the 24 hours since Biden’s announcement, their campaign raised 26 million dollars. 150,000 of those donors were also first time contributors. It’s believed they may match or beat President Trump’s fundraising haul for August. President Trump remains steadfast in his beliefs that Harris is “not a person who’s liked.” He said, “I think people will fall out of love with her very quickly.”
