Florence Police Believe Shooting, Car Crash Last Night May be Connected

An investigation is underway after a shooting in Florence left one person with life-threatening injuries. The incident took place last night. Police were responding to reports of a shooting in the area of Mimosa Drive and Cherokee Road. While en route, they were advised of a collision at Cashua Drive and Evans Street. Authorities discovered the driver of one of those vehicles had been shot. Florence police have reason to believe the two incidents are connected and ask that you call them if you have any information. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
