‘Admitted KKK Leader’ Sentenced for Driving into Crowd of Protesters
An ‘admitted KKK leader’ who drove his truck through a crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters has been sentenced.
The incident occurred on June 7th in Virginia. Of the three people injured, no life-threatening injuries were reported and 37-year-old Harry Rogers was arrested on scene. A further search of Rogers’ home and vehicle revealed he was in possession of multiple weapons, clips of ammunition, several KKK and Confederate flag patches, and KKK literature. Rogers also admitted to being the leader of a local KKK chapter. Earlier this week, Rogers was officially convicted of six misdemeanor charges and sentenced to six years in prison. He received 12 months for each of the six simple assault charges, destruction of property and failure to stop at the scene of an accident. He still has yet to enter a plea for the three felony counts he faces for attempted malicious wounding by each victim he injured.
