One Dead, Five Injured After Explosion in Baltimore
Breaking news this morning as a major explosion in a Baltimore residential area has left at least one person dead.
It’s believed a gas explosion destroyed three row-houses around 10 a.m. in the northeast part of the city. The three alarm incident is also reported to have impacted a three-mile block radius. Witnesses say they heard a loud explosion and felt the ground shake. The deceased victim who has since been recovered from the blast is confirmed to be an adult female who remains unidentified at this time. At least five people, including children, were believed to be trapped under the rubble as the Baltimore Special Rescue Operations team continued work to free them. So far, two other people have been recovered by firefighters. They are in serious condition and were transported to a nearby hospital.
