Multi-Structure Fires Reported Across the Region

The hurricane last night caused numerous fires across the region. In Ocean Isle, where the storm touched down around 11 p.m., fire crews responded to the scenes of multiple house fires. Fortunately there were no immediate reports of injuries. It’s reported a house fire also broke out in Myrtle Beach in the 300 block of 47th Ave North. It’s unclear if anyone was injured. It’s also believed a fire that occurred at the Lamplighter restaurant in Florence reportedly took place around 7:20 p.m., just before the storm hit, and was ruled accidental.
