Body Discovered in the Intracoastal Waterway Near Little River

The Horry County Police Department is investigating after a body was found in the Intracoastal Waterway. The body was discovered in the Windjammer Village near Little River early yesterday afternoon. Police have identified the victim as female but have declined to provide a name or age pending notification of family. The autopsy is scheduled for later today and HCPD has confirmed there is no threat to the community.
