NFL Offers Players Association to Play Zero Preseason Games
Significant progress was made between the NFL and NFL players association yesterday.
With training camp around the corner, NFL players launched a “we want to play” social media campaign on Sunday, calling out the league’s lack of health and safety plans. But now, significant progress has been made beginning with the agreement to daily covid-19 testing. Also, preseason is usually four games, and it was reduced to two in recent weeks. Yesterday morning, the NFL proposed playing just one game but then finally settled for none. Meanwhile, with the NBA schedule set to resume next week on July 30th, the league announced some good news as its latest round of testing produced zero positive covid-19 cases. 346 players were tested within the Disney World bubble on July 13th. the NBA touts the bubble as safer for players inside than they would be anywhere else. the league will get started with the New Orleans Pelicans against the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Clippers.
