Newborn Found Inside Trash Can in Wilmington

Yesterday afternoon, a newborn baby was found alive in a trash can in Wilmington. According to police, a woman was walking her dog on Fairview Drive when she heard the sound of a baby crying coming from inside a trash can that was located in the parking lot of Christ Community Church. Reports say the child still had his umbilical cord. The woman who discovered him waited for paramedics to arrive and EMS then took the infant to a nearby medical center. The Wilmington police department has said that he is healthy and doing well.
