At Least 15 Women Accuse Washington Redskins Staffers of Sexual Harassment
The Washington Redskins have confirmed that they’ve launched an internal investigation amid allegations of sexual harassment by team staffers. 15 former female employees and two journalists have accused employees of harassment and verbal abuse. The allegations were first reported by the Washington Post and now some of the team’s employees implicated in the article have been fired or left their positions. Text messages from assistant director of pro personnel, Richard Mann, reportedly contained inappropriate and sexual comments that were sent to a female employee. Mann was fired within the past week. There are also accusations against former play-by-play announcer and senior v-p of content, Larry Michael. Former employees say he talked about the attractiveness of a college intern in 2018 when he was being recorded for a team video. Michael retired Wednesday.
