72 NFL Players Have Tested Positive for Covid-19

As the NFL and the NFL Players Association continue to make plans for the upcoming season, 72 players have tested positive for covid-19. The names of those players have not been made public but Rams center Brian Allen, Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott are among those who have already publicly discussed their experience with the coronavirus. Currently it’s unknown how many athletes have actually been tested. This could be the latest obstacle for getting training camps underway which are set to begin later this month. Under the terms of the new collective bargaining agreement, the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs are eligible to report this weekend. JJ Watt of the Texans has spoken out about his frustration with how the players are being kept in the dark. He spoke out on twitter saying “we want to play, and we want to be as safe as possible but, we have not received a single valid plan from any team or the league and we don’t know if there are preseason games or not.”
