Governor Extends State of Emergency in Response to COVID-19 Surges

DHEC announced yesterday over 1,950 new COVID-19 cases and ten additional deaths statewide. The day prior, DHEC reported over 2,200 cases. This was yet another record breaking single-day increase of cases, bringing South Carolina’s total amount to almost 56,500 with 950 deaths. In response, Governor McMaster has once again extended the State of Emergency order through July 26th. This is the fourth month in a row the order has been extended.
