South Carolina Schools Discuss Return Plans for Fall Semester

The Horry County Schools chair will request their fall semester start date be postponed by three weeks. In a Facebook live video yesterday evening, it was confirmed the HCS board wants to move the date from August 17th to September 8th. They hope to have every student back in a classroom five days a week but realize it must be done safely and need time in order to do this. In Marlboro County, the new principal of Marlboro County High school has declared they are prepared to teach students both in class and online this coming year. Darlington County school district officials also met this morning to discuss their back-to-school plans.
